Matthew Zambrello, DMD, PhD

Meet Dr. Zambrello

Dr. Matthew Zambrello completed all of his doctoral training at the University of Connecticut. He received his DMD from the School of Dental Medicine, his PhD from the Graduate School, and continued his post-doctoral training by completing an advanced education in General Dentistry program, also through UConn.

Aside from being the first author of multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Dr. Zambrello is currently an active researcher in the Department of Periodontics at UConn, where he studies the relationships between periodontal disease and bacterial membrane lipids.

Dr. Zambrello is one of our general dentists at Center For Dental Excellence. He enjoys offering a full scope of general dentistry and is always seeking to learn the newest techniques and technologies. Dr. Zambrello lives an active lifestyle and spends his personal time training with weights, going on hikes, and spending time with family.
